洪宁收集不同时期的照片，并和它们进行自拍，通过在同一张照片内的拍摄时差来产生风格间的对比。而在当代，我们普通人对生活照片的保存，经历了传统胶卷照片的冲洗，大头贴的流行拍摄，直至智能手机兴起，普通大众保留照片的习惯更多转变为存储在手机等移动设备中。在审美上我们对生活照片的拍摄习惯，也随着照片保留方式的转变而发生变化，在过往我们更多依赖照片记录真实发生事物的属性，到大头贴兴起人们对单帧影像中二维装饰图案的搭配，再至如今像激萌、抖音等APP对镜头中被拍摄者形象发生巨大改变的流行，人们不单纯是为了记录自我，它随保留方式的转变在美学上发生了更大变化。通过本部影像，作者尝试探讨不同时间阶段的相同自我对个人乃至潮流化审美趣味的表达，甚至于未来生活照片里自我形象发展的设问。　　HongNingcollectsphotosfromdifferentperiodsandtakesselfieswiththem,creatingacontrastbetweenstylesindiversetimeswithinthesameimage.Thepreservationofdailyphotoshastransformedfromtraditionalfilmsandphotostickerstosavingphotosonmobiledevicesinthecontemporaryera.Aesthetically,thewaystotakecasualphotographsarevariedwithchangesofthemethodsphotosarekept.Inthepast,wereliedonphotostorecordtheactualattributesofthings,andduringtheriseofphotostickers,thecollocationsoftwo-dimensionaldecorativepatternsinsingle-frameimageswerestressed.Nowadays,usingappslikeSnapchatandTiktoktochangetheimageofthepersonbeingphotographedinthelenshasbecomeextremelypopular.Takingpicturesarenotonlyforrecording,butalsohasundergonegreaterchangesaestheticallywiththealterationinphoto-retentionmethods.Throughthiswork,HongNingattemptstoexploretheexpressionsofthesameselfatdifferenttimestagesonpersonalandtrendyaesthetictastes,andfurtherquestionsaboutthedevelopmentofself-imageinfuturecasualphotographs.
