Thisisaratherschizoidmovieasisevidencedbyitstwoalternatetitles&quot;BlueSummer&quot;ononehand,or&quot;LoveTruck&quot;,ontheother.Attimesthisseemslikeatypicallystupidandpainfullyunfunnyearly70'ssoftcoresexrompwithalotofidioticandunrealisticsituationsandsomeprettyunappealingactresses.Themoviefollowsaprettytypicalformula--twoguyswhohavejustgraduatedhighschoolgooffonaroadtripinacustomizedvanlookingsomefemaleaction,andfallintoallkindsofincreasinglyabsurd,butnotparticularlyfunnysituations--and,ofcourse,theyhavealotofsexontheway.<br/>　　Thereareplaces,however,wherethismoviereallytranscendsitsformulaicsoftcoreorigins.Realityintrudesinacoupleplacesliketheoneanotherreviewermentionedwhereasexualtrystoneprotagonistishavingwithanolderwomanisinterruptedbyhersonwho'saboutthesameageheis(andit'streatedratherrealisticallyandalittlesadly,notinthecomicalwayofsomethinglike&quot;AmericanPie&quot;).Myfavoritescenethough,andreallytheonethatmakesthewholemovieatallworthwhile,comesinthefirsthalfhour:thepairpickupacoupleoffemalehitchhikers(theONLYattractivewomeninthismovie)andtheyhavingalongandsurprisinglybeautifullyfilmeddoublesexsceneatacampsitewhilegroovyearly70'smusicplaysonthesoundtrack.Asunrealisticastherestofthemoviemaybe,thisonescenereallycaptureswhatitwaslike(or,atleast,whatIimagineitwaslike--thiswastenorfifteenyearsbeforemytime)tobealiveandyoungintheearly70's.Thisscenealonemightbeworthseeingtherestofthemovie.
