理查德·奥斯瓦尔德是奥地利导演、制片人、演员及编剧。1914年至1951年间，他执导了百余部故事片，其中《夜影迷踪》（1920）、《诡谲故事》（1919/1932）、《卖淫实录第一、二部》（1919）及《曼陀罗》（1930）等作品已成为影史经典。 因犹太裔身份，奥斯瓦尔德在纳粹德国时期被迫逃亡，先流亡至被占领的法国，后移居美国。
