The story of nurse Rachel who, after the Second World War, in the 1950s, decides to start her life over in a place far from all memories of the impossible love she had in Switzerland. She comes to Brazil to work at a health center in the interior of Mato Grosso. An inhospitable and resourceless location where it becomes the only service for local people.
