Arctic Summer

12 boys from Clifton College, Bristol, left England on the first-ever British school expedition to go to Baffin Island in Arctic Canada. In the first of two films MIKE MILLER and PHILIP JARDINE tell the story of the week they spent at the Eskimo settlement of Pangnirtung, finding out how the modern Eskimo lives and works. Though its population is under 1,000, Pangnirtung has a modern school, a church, even a theological college. Law and order is the responsibility of a single mountie.
