The Third Reich In Private
They lived in seclusion from their subjects, guarded around the clock by the security service. For a long time, little was known about the private lives of the Nazi leaders. It was only after the fall of the Third Reich that more and more details came to light. This four-part documentary explores the private lives and inner circle of Nazi Germany’s leaders, revealing how they lived in isolation and luxury while exercising power. Using rare photographs and film footage—including some in colour—the series examines Adolf Hitler, Eva Braun, Hermann Göring, Joseph and Magda Goebbels, Martin Bormann, and other key figures of the Third Reich. Drawing on original footage and private photo albums, the series provides a behind-the-scenes look at the Nazi regime, its power structure, and the individuals who supported and sustained its system of oppression.
