Rebeca and Mónica are two devoted sisters until a devastating secret changes their lives forever. Aura is born from Rebeca’s youthful love with Alonso Beristáin, who never learns he has a daughter. To keep them apart, Alonso’s father has Rebeca imprisoned. After giving birth behind bars, Rebeca asks Mónica to raise Aura as her own and keep the truth hidden. Eighteen years later, Rebeca is released and returns, determined to reclaim her daughter while posing as Aura’s aunt. When Mónica falls in love with Alonso, the past resurfaces, and the revelation that Aura is his daughter threatens to shatter the family and the lie that has bound the sisters for years.
