In 2000, Martim and Joana Lacerda, both children from wealthy and well-succeeded families, are the sensational couple. But, Martim is already bored of the wedding and it is in Rute that he finds a shelter point. The two live a passion, even though Joana is having the baby really soon. Joana's pregnancy complicates and what initially seemed like a very distant problem, became a reality: Rute and Martim have their days counted. But the fate is what chooses and it may not be on that day that things will get resolved.
