Haunted by the loss of her newborn daughter, Lúcia Cruz begins to suspect that her child may still be alive. Unaware that the baby was secretly sold, fate leads Lúcia to work at the Ferreira do Vale estate, where she unknowingly becomes the caregiver of her own daughter.
