Frankfurt Murder

At the heart of this new Saturday-night crime drama is Sarah Frankfurter, an experienced detective who not only investigates in Frankfurt—a banking capital defined by contrasts—but also has ties to the local Jewish community. This milieu has rarely been depicted in the German crime genre, and it is this matter-of-fact portrayal of everyday Jewish life that offers the film fresh narrative possibilities.
