Alfonso, Cursed Prince

Alfonso, the cursed prince tells the life of Alfonso de Borbón y Dampierre, Duke of Cádiz, grandson of Alfonso XIII and, therefore, first cousin of the King. Very little was known about this aspirant to the throne of Spain until on March 8, 1972, he married Carmen Martínez-Bordiú, the eldest granddaughter of the dictator Franco. Seven years later they separated. The accumulation of misfortunes had only just begun. In February 1984, she was returning from skiing with her two children when the car she was driving crashed into a truck. As a result of this accident, his son Francisco de Asís died. In 1989, the Duke of Cádiz was beheaded on a ski slope in the Rocky Mountains (Colorado, United States) in a mishap caused by a steel cable.
