Mysteries of History

The film crew embarks on a journey across the UK, hoping to use public resources to discover what lies behind local legends and traditions. Experts will help you separate fact from fiction, understand archival labyrinths and understand the architectural language of buildings and landscapes. Each show tells one of the mysterious local legends: a smugglers' tunnel, a military spy, an underwater city, and a meeting of the queen with her wounded lover.
