Buongiorno Afghanistan

3500 Italian women and men thousand kilometers away from home. Some of theme have arrived a few weeks ago, some of theme have been there for months and they're going home. They are the Afghanistan mission's Italian soldiers. Fabio Caressa lived two weeks with many of them in the Herat base (Italian Headquarters in Afghanistan) and other Forward Operative Bases (FOB).The result of this project is very different from the classic «embedded» reportage and it's more similar to a unique and extraordinarily intense experience. It's a coral diary, documented in the essence and dramatic in the form, that tries to return to the public, faces, stories, experiences of a piece of Italy far from home that tries to rebuild a country broken by decades of war.
