Happy hour comes to Cooking Channel with Drink Up, a show that excites the senses while it slakes your thirst for the history, hints and ins and outs of your favorite cocktail components. From the first crude pot still, producing fiery drops of proto-vodka, to today's creative and complex cocktails served by mad-scientist mixologists in sexy lounges, the drink you're holding took a long and exciting journey to get into your hand. Fruity or tart. Shaken or stirred. Trendy or timeless. The cocktail is back and getting the kind of praise and attention that used to be reserved for haute cuisine.
