Cuore

Set in 1886 Piedmont, this six-part TV series shifts the focus of Edmondo De Amicis's classic novel to Teacher Perboni, a compassionate widower devoted to his students. As he navigates classroom challenges—such as bridging socio-economic divides and winning over rebellious pupils—he uses monthly stories and deep empathy to build their moral character as citizens of a newly unified Italy, all while finding romance with a fellow teacher.
