The title of the series refers to Art. 148 of the 1969 Penal Code, which establishes criminal liability for the crime of murder in the form of imprisonment from 8 to 25 years, and in special cases the death penalty. Some death sentences for crimes committed before January 1, 1970 were issued pursuant to Art. 225 of the Penal Code of 1932
