The life of Maxim Zhdanov consists of funny pranks, crazy ideas and experiments. But everything changes when his family moves to a quiet suburban village, where there is absolutely nothing to do. And then there is trouble at school: after successfully passing the test, the teachers transfer Max to a class for gifted children, having considered the makings of a prodigy in the boy. Classmates and friends label him "nerd", and Max becomes a stranger to ordinary guys. Max doesn't like being a prodigy at all. In the new class he has his only friend Anton, a typical "nerd", and in the family there are three brothers: the elder Valera, who was sent to the military academy for his actions, the middle Denis is a real bully, and the younger Alexei is a dreamer and mother's favorite.
