Stefan Erdmann first set out on a trip to Iceland in 2001, a trip that was to be the start of a great passion and a grandiose three-part nature documentary. In 20 trips, he has traveled all over the island in an off-road vehicle, hiked through the highlands on foot and flown several thousand kilometers over the island in an ultralight aircraft. During his travels, Erdmann experienced breathtaking and fabulous moments on the largest volcanic island on earth and filmed several hundred hours of material. The essence of these recordings are three extremely artistic and emotional nature films: A fantastic journey through a fantastic country, The Laugavegur, as a documentation of Iceland's most famous long-distance hiking trail and "Iceland from above", for the earthman with his Icelandic friend and pilot Þórhallur Òskarsson the island filmed from the air.
