A380 : L'aventure des essais en vol

The equivalent of fifty world tours were necessary to test the A380. Twenty-four test pilots, 17 flight engineers and seven mechanics took turns at the controls of five prototypes for 18 months. At the Istres air base, the team tested the structure of the plane and the maximum take-off speeds.
