Which culinary delights in the southwest can be traced back to the Romans? How did people eat and drink in the Middle Ages? Which dishes did the courtly cuisine favor and which of them did the bourgeoisie take over? Vincent Klink and Heike Greis swing the wooden spoon in historical kitchens and present dishes from three epochs to be cooked at home, garnished with anecdotes from cultural history. Unusual ingredients, idiosyncratic cooking techniques and, of course, delicious recipes that are still popular with today's connoisseurs will be presented.
