POV (DR3)
You never see us. You live our lives POV is a completely new way of making documentary series. Instead of watching the leading characters, you live their lives. They are all anonymous. The cameras are attached to their bodies in a way that ensures that instead of watching them, you experience their worlds. In the original series you live as a male prostitute, an alcoholic mother, a woman who is morbidly obese, a dying twenty-seven-year-old ex con, a desperate young woman with no money, and a transsexual who dreams of gener realignment surgery. These are all sensitive stories the participants wanted to tell, but which required complete anonymity. The series aims to show what it is like to be in someone else’s shoes and thereby inspire viewers to break down taboos.
