Maximilian Semsch had already cycled over 50,000km through over 30 countries until he realized that he knew his way around Thailand and Australia better than on his own doorstep. This should change, and so in 2016 Semsch rode his e-bike through all 16 federal states for over four months, covering 7,500km. On the tour he met almost 200 people, from bus drivers to app developers to ski jumping legend Jens Weißflog, all of whom showed him a piece of their homeland.
