Ana and Zeca are a successful couple enjoying a calm, organized life, sustained in part by Ana’s fame as a volleyball player. However, their happiness is incomplete due to their inability to have a child. They offer a small fortune to a woman willing to act as a surrogate mother. The surrogate is Clara, a young woman constantly struggling with both financial and emotional hardships. Clara keeps her decision to become a surrogate a secret from everyone, including her father, Ezequiel, a religious zealot. Her pregnancy triggers a drastic change in her life.
