The story takes place in Italy in 1926 and still today has not had a certain solution (although in 1931 the judicial case ended in the Supreme Court): a man, who has lost his memory, is disputed by two families, the Canella from Verona, certain that the forgetful is Professor Giulio, a philosopher lost in Macedonia and that of the Bruneri, who maintains that the man is Mario a convict who pretends amnesia to escape from prison.
