Nikos Michailidis inherits the carob honey factory from his father-in-law. Giannakis Rodosthenous has been the caretaker since the birth of the factory and treats them all fairly, having created a relationship of mutual respect with the workers. The factory manager (Drakopoulos) abuses the workers, as a result of which everyone has negative feelings about his person. When he is killed, the mystery remains unsolved, with the number of suspects rising.
