Focuses on a rebellious and cheeky girl named Alex who receives an educational punishment for writing in a school newspaper, for her inappropriate behavior. Alex deals with the death of her mother, trying in every way possible to evade the task that was forced upon her and even to convince her good friend, Ruby, to replace her. Attempts to evade fail and she finds herself writing columns in the school newspaper.
