Master Eye of the Needle

Fairy tales work best for the little ones on children's television, according to German television broadcasters in the mid-1950s. Based on "The Brave Little Tailor", the artificial figure of the "Master Needle Eye" was developed, who could then sometimes use his oversized magic cubit as a guitar. "Master Nadelöhr" told fairy tales or sang a song. But the real stars of the show were the dolls, especially the cheeky little goblin "Pittiplatsch", who liked to play tricks, but also "Schnatterinchen", who came across as rather well-behaved and precocious. From time to time the Soviet brother teddy "Mischka" was also a guest. However, the fairytale figures also appeared again and again in the evening greetings.
