Andrei and Maxim are childhood friends who grew up in the same yard and went to the same school. Both lost their jobs and decided to open a private detective agency. They are antipodes, but perfectly complement each other in their difficult detective work. Andrey is an engineer who used to work in the "mailbox". Being well versed in technology, having an analytical mindset, being both a mathematician and a practitioner, in simple everyday situations he is sometimes helpless to the point of comicality, he does not understand anything in business, and his ideas about crime are taken exclusively from books. Maxim is a former detective who left the authorities due to conflicts with his superiors. A tough practitioner and a principled truth teller, he, unlike Andrei, is very well versed in real life.
