Shows the wild side of the legendary US state with its 40 million inhabitants, which many people know best for its beaches, the glamor of Hollywood or the Golden Gate Bridge. But California with its mountains, deserts and the Pacific is also the most biodiverse region on the American continent. The two-part documentary leads into well-known nature reserves such as Yosemite and Death Valley National Parks, but also into unexplored areas such as the miles of uninhabited coast of Baja California in Mexico.
