Dr. Jennifer Golbeck is Professor at College of Information Studies - University of Maryland, College Park. In these series, Dr. Golbeck explains how Europeans are protected by some of the most restrictive privacy laws in the world, while in China, at the other extreme, personal data is regularly used on many levels. USA finds itself in the middle, while private communication is protected, the Supreme Court has ruled that people give up that right to privacy when involving a third party.
