War of Letters

The historical drama transfers us to the 10th century. The most powerful country in Europe - Bulgaria, is shrouded in a secret that can shake the foundations of Christianity. The plot tells about the last days of the life of Tsar Simeon the Great (Deyan Donkov) and the months after his death. His youngest son, Bayan (Daniel Varbanov), searches for the secret of the lost ancient Bulgarian letters in times of political intrigues, battles for supremacy and attempts to save the peace between Preslav and Constantinople. Bulgarian power is faced with a huge test when the young prince Bayan meets the granddaughter of the Byzantine emperor - Princess Maria (Klimentina Firtsova). Several other key characters stand out on the medieval scene, whose actions are able to change the course of events - Queen Mariam (Teodora Duchovnikova), Kavkhan Sursuvul (Zahari Baharov) and Prince Peter (Nencho Kostov).
