Shlomo - Der Goldschmied und der Nazi

An October day in 1980, near Sao Paulo. A man lies dead in his bathroom. It is Gustav Wagner, the dreaded camp spear of the Nazi death camp Sobibor. The police classified the case as a suicide. But what happened before that? Does Shlomo Szmajzner, one of the few survivors of the death camp, have anything to do with it? Or do people only wish that there was this belated revenge? The three-part ARD series uses the pull of true crime formats to take viewers into a world of guilt, revenge and justice. The question Szmajzner wrestles with is still burningly topical today: How can gigantic injustice be atoned for? (text: ARD)
