Abgestempelt?! Hans Sarpei will’s wissen

Hans Sarpei would like to clear up prejudices about Hartz IV recipients such as “Poverty makes you stupid!”, “Poverty makes you lazy!” and “Poverty makes you anti-social!” The ex-football professional wants to find out what it really feels like to be poor in Germany. Sarpei talks to people and wants to know how they feel perceived by society and politics. He meets long-term unemployed people and an employee of the local job center and talks to them about their experiences with Hartz IV. In addition to those affected, poverty researchers and people who are committed to combating poverty also have their say in the social documentary. When he arrives at the German Bundestag in Berlin, Sarpei finally hopes for answers from politicians.
