TheMeaningof1/24SecondisKorea'sfirstexperimentalfilmandwasfilmedin1969.This16mmfilmincolorandblackandwhiteiscomposedofhundredsofinconsistentscenes.Takingthebasicstructureofthefilm,whichconsistsof24framespersecond,TheMeaningof1/24Secondexpressesthesteeprealityfacedbymodernman,andthesenseofalienationthatcomesfromuncontrollablespeed.Thevideofilethatremainedonlyindigitalformatsinceitwentmissingin2001wasrestoredto16mmfilmforscreeningforhisretrospectiveexhibition,whichhasbeenheldatSeoulMuseumofArt,RepublicofKoreain2013,thusprovidinganopportunitytolookbackonitsmeaning.
