InhertrilogyofperformancesThankYouForComing,Driscollengageswiththepoliticalaswellasphysicalandemotionalstates,atoncebalancingpoignancyandtendernesswithirreverentwitandhumor,summoning“theunnamedforcesthatsurgebetweentheviewerandtheviewed.”Eachoftheworksintheseries—Attendance(2014),Play(2016),andSpace(2019)—takesadistinctform,whetherexploringritualsofstorytelling,waysthatwespeakthroughandforeachother,orhumanconnectivityandloss. FayeDriscoll:ComeOnIn,theartist’sfirstsolomuseumexhibition,wasdevelopedbyDriscollandherlong-termartisticcollaboratorsNickVaughanandJakeMargolin.Exploringhumaninterdependenceandconnectivity,theshowlooksbackacrosstheentiretyofthetrilogy,whichwaspresentedandco-commissionedbytheWalkerandsubsequentlytouredaroundtheworldoverthepastsixyears.Bringingtheimmersiveexperienceofhertheaterworksintothegallery,Driscollinvitesustobecomeactiveparticipantsthroughaseriesofpromptsandsubtledirectivesthatleadusonasharedjourney.
