Hotsummer,1941.Asmallrailwaystationnearthefrontline.Agroupofcriminals(amademanandarepressedgeneralamongthem),areentrainedinacarriageofaspecialmilitarytrain.AyoungKGBlieutenantguardstheconvicts.Hardlythetraincoversacoupleofkilometers,itissubjectedtoaGermanarmyassault,andthelandingoperationstarts.Afterashortfightonly3personssurvive:younglieutenant,mademanandpoliticalcriminal.TheyheadfortheforestfartherfromthecrashedtrainandpursuingGermans.Thecriminals,seemingly,canconsiderthemselvesasfree,though,thelieutenanthasanotherpointofviewandisintendedtobringthemtothedestinationplace.
