TomislavRadicwasbornin1940inZagreb,graduatedin1962attheFacultyofHumanitiesandSocialSciencesinZagrebandattheAcademyofDramaticArtinZagrebin1973.Since1965untiltodayhedirectedinallZagrebtheaters,hewasanoccasionallyguestattheDubrovnikSummerFestivalandanassociatefornationaltelevision.From1977until1997hetaughtactinganddirectingattheAcademyofDramaticArtinZagrebandfrom1998to2000hewastheeditoroftheDramaprogramonCroatiannationaltelevision.<br/> Radicmadearound40documentariesanddocudramasfortelevisionandseveralfilms.HisdocumentaryZivaistina(1971)wasdescribedbythecriticsascombinationofdirectfilmmethodsandaseriesofdocumentarysegmentswhichdescribeeverydaylifeinacity,whilefollowingayoungactressinsearchofwork.HisTimon(1972)wasthoughttobeanoriginalparaphraseofShakespeare'stextwherethelifeofthemaincharacterbecomesmixedwiththelifeofthecharacterheisplaying.
