Twoex-soldierssearchforstabilityandlovewhentheyreturnhomeafterWorldWarOne.<br/>　　--------------------------------------------<br/>　　史上最强东欧魔幻现实主义电影杰作之一。<br/>　　Thesecondandlastfull-lenghtfeaturefilm‘WildLilies’byEloHavettaranksamongthemostremarkableworksofSlovakcinematography.ItisanartisticparaphraseoftheliteraryworkofVincentSikula.ThemaincharctersareveteransretrurningfromWWIwhowanttofindahomeanssettledown.However,equallystrongistheirdesireforfreedomandthelifeofatramp.<br/>　　EloHavetta(1938-1975)<br/>　　HegraduatedattheSchoolofIndustrialArtsinBratislavain1957.Atthebreakofthefiftiesandthesixtiesheiniciatedseveraloriginalprojects(Theatreofpictures)andasaresult,he´dattractedandorganizedagroupofyoungartistsfromvariousartfields.Havettawasaprosewriter,photographer,workedasaneditorinvisualartsmagazine,asagraphicdesigner,etc.SincethebeginningofhisstudiesatFAMU(FilmAcademyofMusicalArtsinPrague)in1961,cinemabecamehismajorinterest.Itwasmainlyduetothefactthathebelieveditwastheonlymeansthroughwhichhispersonalfeelingsandexperiencecouldbetransformed,interminglingwithotherartdisciplines.HavettaattendedtheAcademyinarelativelyfortunateperiodofrelaxedcreativeatmosphereandaccordingtohisprofessorKarolKachyna(significantCzechfilmdirector)hisappearancesoonbecamethemostdistinguishedinthecourse.<br/>　　Buteventhoughhemanagedtoattractwiderattentionalreadywithhisschoolwork,afterhereturnedtoSlovakia,therewasnoroomforhiminmajorfilmstudiosproducingfilmthosedays-Koliba.Andsoin1967heparticipatedincreationofdiapolyekranatEXPO´67(exhibitionof....)andbetween1967and1968heworkedasvisualartsmagazineeditorinSmena.HemanagedtogetthroughinKolibaonlylater,in1968,howeverhehascompletedonlytwofull-lengthfeaturefilms:ACelebrationinatheBotanicalGardenandWildLilies.BoththesetitleshavebecomejewlesofSlovakcinematography.Throughthesefilmsplayfulness,improvisationandspontaneitygotthroughintotheSlovakcinema.<br/>　　ScreeningofthelatteratIFFVeniceinhoweverdidn´tbringfameforHavetta,onthecontraryitlaunchedadefiniteprohibitionofhisworkproducedinKolibastudios.Sincethen,allthewaythroughuntillthemomentofhisprematuredeathHavettaworkedonlyfortheCzechoslovaktelevisioninstudioproducingprogrammesforyouth.AttheoccasionofDaysofSlovakandCzechFilmin1990,hewaspresentedaLife-longCreativityAwardinmemoriam.
