Bomman(VikramPrabhu)amahoutandhispetelephantManickammakealivingoutofperformingintemplesandfilmshootings.Heisassistedbyhisuncle(ThambiRamaiah)adrunkardandwastrel.Duetocertaincircumstances,theyfindthemselvesinaremotevillageprotectingthevillagersfromawildheardofelephants.BommanknowsthatManickamisnotatrainedKumkielephantwhocantakeonorstoptheattackofthewildelephants.Howeverhedoesnotcareasbythenhehasfallenmadlyinlovewiththevillagechieftain'sdaughterAlli(LakshmiMenon).Meanwhilethevillagerstreathimliketheirsaviour,asthewaitbeginsforthewildelephantonrampage.
