FAQ

A few things worth knowing

How do I configure the LLM API Key?

Configure your key (OpenAI, Gemini, DeepSeek, or other proxies) in Settings -> LLM Preferences. Because profiling requires handling large inputs, check our Guide for tips to avoid time-outs.

How do I import Douban or Trakt data?

We provide importing routes. You can export using browser backup extensions or upload standard CSV. Step-by-step guides and recommended tools can be found in our Guide.

Is my viewing data private and secure?

We respect your privacy. Your watch history is used strictly to build your DNA and calculate compatibility. You can toggle page visibility anytime, or request complete account deletion via Contact.

Does it support local media servers like Jellyfin or Emby?

Jellyfin supports repository installation and device-code pairing. Emby first ships a marketplace-safe build for movie watch and rating sync, with the injected web UI available separately as a Geek build.

What if a movie is missing or wrong?

Submit a correction or missing-media request under Contact, attach a TMDB / IMDb link, and we will refresh the metadata directly in the database.

Data sources and rights notices

The Movie Database (TMDB)

This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.

TV metadata provided by TheTVDB. Some show and episode details come from TVmaze (CC BY-SA 4.0). IMDb, Rotten Tomatoes and Metacritic scores come via OMDb.

Film, TV and people metadata combines third-party services, public references and user corrections. External scores identify their source. Images and third-party text belong to their respective rights holders; original user reviews belong to their authors.

Rights holders can submit specific URLs, evidence of their rights and requested action through Contact. We promptly review notices and take appropriate measures to restrict, replace or remove the relevant material. Viewer history and personal reviews are handled separately from catalog metadata.
