This page is only for getting the export path clear. Whether you start from Douban, Letterboxd, IMDb, or a custom source, the goal is the same: get a CSV or JSON file you can upload, then return to the import page.
If most of your history lives on Douban, use the bookmarklet below to generate a CSV directly. On desktop, the browser extension is even easier: authorize Douban once, then sync the latest marks or export a complete backup. Both paths include watched items, watchlist items, and available Top 10 data. TV records retain their seasons; unmatched shows can be linked on the import page or sent for review.
Preferred path
Browser extension
Desktop
Authorize Douban once, then sync the latest marks or export a complete backup.
No bookmark editing required: open the extension's Data Tools, then choose Sync latest Douban data or Export full local CSV backup. Data stays local first; cloud writing requires a separate checkbox and confirmation.
Save the script as a bookmark first, then run it by tapping the bookmark.
Find your Douban ID
Your Douban ID is the segment after `/people/` in the profile URL. It is usually letters, digits, and underscores, and is not the visible display nickname.
If the web page is signed in
Open your own Douban profile page. In a URL like `https://m.douban.com/people/your-id/`, the `your-id` segment is the value you need.
You can still find it without web sign-in
Check it in the Douban app: side menu -> Settings -> Profile & account. The Douban ID shown there is the value you need, not your nickname.
How to run it on desktop
Drag the green button into the bookmarks bar, or create a bookmark manually and replace its full URL field with the script. Then open a Douban page and click the bookmark once to start the export.
How to run it on mobile
Phones usually do not have a visible bookmarks bar, so the safer path is to bookmark any page first, open the bookmark editor, and replace the entire URL with the script. Safari, Chrome, and most Android browsers all support this flow.
Find the file
After a successful export, the file is usually in your browser's default Downloads folder, with a name like `Douban_Export_xxx.csv`.
Need a hand?Verify your account, submit your Douban ID, and we will notify you when the sync is complete.
You only need a public Douban profile and permission for CinePersona to use its public watch history.
Letterboxd
CSV
Letterboxd can be exported directly from its official data export page and will land in your default Downloads folder.
Official export page
Open the official export page and sign in.
Download the file
Download the CSV file and wait for it to save locally.
Trakt works better as an account connection with ongoing sync, so you may not need a file first. If you already use Trakt, connecting it from Settings is usually the easier path.
The Jellyfin build supports repository installation and device-code pairing. The Emby review build keeps server-side watch and rating sync without modifying web files; the injected rating UI is available separately as a Geek build.
1. Add repo & install
Add https://cinepersona.com/jellyfin.json under Jellyfin → Plugins → Repositories. Install the Emby review build from GitHub Releases until catalog approval.
2. Scan or enter code
In Jellyfin or the Geek build, click 'Connect CinePersona' on a movie page and scan the code; in the Emby review build, enter an API key in plugin settings.
If your history is spread across other platforms, or you want to pull and normalize multi-source data first, CineRecord can be the front-stage tool. It is better at getting the data out first, then you can bring the result back here for import.
If your source data is not already in a standard export format, have an AI convert it into CinePersona's standard CSV first. As long as you end up with a local CSV file, the upload flow will work.
What to prepare
The original export file, field descriptions, or any table data that contains title, year, rating, and watched date information.
Minimum output
Keep at least `title` and `year`. Other fields such as `rating`, `watched_at`, and `comment` can be added when available.
Uploaded data is used for your taste profile, recommendation explanations, matching results, and necessary product analytics.
What you should confirm
Please confirm you have the right to use and migrate these exports; CinePersona does not guarantee the accuracy or availability of third-party platform data.
If you want to delete later
You can sign out, manage your account, or request deletion from account settings later. Deleted personal data cannot be restored.

Common questions before importing
Last step
Once you have the file, just return to Import.
The import page now keeps only the essential actions: upload, detect, confirm authorization, and submit. The tutorial lives here, so once you have the file you can simply go back and upload it.
