Olsen and Johnson, a pair of stage comedians, try to turn their play into a movie and bring together a young couple in love, while breaking the fourth wall every step of the way.
电影叙事的祖宗之法不可变之祖宗玩弄了个遍，仿佛在看一个混乱不堪但依然运行正常的大脑，前提是属于电影人的或者热爱电影艺术的，因此它的破坏性并不至于冒犯反而显得前卫。好多意想不到的插科打诨出现，不满意情节就让剪辑师回退，路过玫瑰花蕾的牌子说“我以为他们烧掉了这个”，丢失重要道具就撕掉对应的剧本页面，想枪毙编剧但他总会在片场穿上防弹背心，聊到不可描述的话题时插入的censored（已审查）也和巨蟒与圣杯中插的intermission（幕间休息）有异曲同工之妙，非常脱线，时常爆笑。
