狩矢警部シリーズ 特別編「京舞妓VS狩矢警部〜乱れ傘の舞殺人事件」

2006-12-25JapanJapanese

A special edition created in memory of Misa Yamamura, the queen of suspense who passed away in 1996. Among Misa Yamamura's works, the most popular are the ``Kyo Maiko Series'' starring Kimiko Ikegami and the ``Inspector Kariya Series'' starring Eiichiro Funakoshi. A full-fledged suspense story that takes advantage of the individuality of the characters from both series has been completed. The highlight this time is the celebratory ceremony called ``collar change'' when a maiko becomes a geisha. Changing the collar is like a coming-of-age ceremony for maiko. After this day, her hairstyle changed and she began to work hard at performing arts as a geisha. The changing of the collar is carefully depicted, something you don't usually see. And Mirre Aika will be dancing the ``Arane Umbrella Dance,'' which is mentioned in the title. Aika's ``Arare Umbrella Dance,'' in which she dances while freely controlling an umbrella, is a must-see. [Story] Yukino Yanagisaka (Kimiko Ikegami) is the young, single proprietress of Hatanaka, a long-established inn in Gion. Kotaro (Nobu Takuma), the young husband of the fan shop ``Kyosendo'' in Hatanaka's neighborhood, and Yukino are a well-matched couple that everyone around them recognizes, but there is no sign that they will get married, and Kotaro's mother, Masako (Ginpakucho), is worried. Meanwhile, Sosuke Kariya (Eiichiro Funakoshi) is a talented detective at the Kyoto Prefectural Police. His wife Sumie (Yamamura Momiji) is a tea ceremony teacher, and their only daughter Kazumi (Maeda Aki) is a university student. Kariya loves the city and people of Kyoto. One day, Gion's popular maiko Tamakiku (Eri Takenaka) is scheduled to change her collar. Eri-gae is a ceremony in which a maiko becomes a full-fledged geisha, and a glamorous party is held with all the people involved. Invited to Tamagiku's party were Shiho Fujieda (Mire Aika), master of dance for maikos and geishas and head of the Fujieda school, and her husband Takeshi (Shigemitsu Ogi), Japanese painter Masami Kasagi (Jun Hashizume), and other famous people from Kyoto. Yukino, Kotaro, Kariya and their families also attend. The climax of the party is a dance performance by the maikos and geishas, but in the middle of it, Kikuharu (Keiko Imamura), a senior geisha, dies by holding down her wig. A poisonous needle was embedded in the wig. Kariya points out that everyone at the scene is suspicious and begins an investigation.
