Processo e morte di Socrate
Adaptation for the cinema audience of the Platonic dialogue The Apology of Socrates. It recounts the trial brought by the Athenian court against Socrates, accused of corrupting young people. The great philosopher utters an intelligent yet useless defense; a few hours later, at the end of a dissertation on death and the afterlife, he drinks hemlock and dies surrounded by his disciples.
