House for the Rich
An apartment in an old Moscow mansion on Prechistenka (the house of Denis Davydov) is the main location and the main character of the film. Events begin in the middle of the 18th century. The squandered nobleman Burkovsky sells the house to a successful German, and from this moment begins the story of the transformations of this apartment, connected with the fates of the people who inhabited it - from Narodnaya Volya to Bolshevik commissars. From a miserable communal apartment in the early 90s, it will again turn into luxury apartments, the owner of which will be Mr. Rumyanov, a popular satirist, poet and artist, to whom, after many years of prohibitions and silence, recognition and wealth will finally come. After destruction and endless alterations that lasted for a hundred years, the new owner had a dream to recreate life in this house down to the smallest detail...
