Un giudice di rispetto
Francesco Di Nardo, a young magistrate of Sicilian origins, is inconvenient to the "higher levels" for having started investigations into some police brass. The chief prosecutor Lupi therefore sends him to Oria, a town in the province of Brindisi whose court is run down and malfunctioning, with trials which - albeit small - have been pending for many years. The only collaborator is the elderly chancellor Agenore Trotta, a devoted state employee but now accustomed to the "comfortable" management of the public office of justice.
