A story about the relationship between two young people. She is a translator, working on the English-language drama "Papercuts". Before publishing his debut novel, he suffers a mental breakdown. Through sequences of flashbacks, we observe his confinement in his own obsessions and the apartment from which he is afraid to leave. He also draws his partner into the area of ​​his own delusions. Is it even possible to recall fragments and arrange them into an appropriate whole? Is it a guarantee of saving the common relationship and one's own identity?
