See A-Lang Again (1982)

At that time, director Lin Fudi, in view of the negative impact of Li Shike's case on social security, wanted to use a story about disciplining gangsters to call on society to give prisoners a path to rehabilitation. He cast Chen Zhenlei, who had a martial arts background and had never acted before, to play the supporting role of the gangster "Wu Minglang" (commonly known as "A Lang", which later became the name of Chen Zhenlei's character in many of his works after he became famous). However, Chen Zhenlei's performance unexpectedly attracted attention, and the play was shortlisted for the "Most Promising New Actor in Drama" award at the 18th Golden Bell Awards in 1983.
