In a dramatic context, the work tells the story of an Egyptian man who returned to Iraq after 25 years to search for his daughter, from an Iraqi woman, whom he had married and left while the daughter was one year old. His ex-wife has three brothers, one of whom is an opportunistic liberal who works with the government and the occupation, the other is an extremist and the third is very wealthy, amidst tangled events and conflicts.
