Bernd das Brot is a German children’s television character—a small, grumpy, and perpetually pessimistic talking loaf of bread. Despite being aimed at kids, he’s known for his dry humor, deadpan delivery, and existential complaints. Bernd often finds himself unwillingly dragged into silly adventures by his energetic friends Chili das Schaf and Briegel der Busch, all while he just wants to be left alone in peace. His unique blend of gloom and comedy has made him an iconic figure on German TV.
